Murray House fosters values that build integrity and honesty with emphasis on respect, caring, kindness and accountability. We aim to equip each child with skills and values for a successful life.We are an exclusive primary school in Johannesburg South Africa. We have combined the Cambridge syllabus with Caps and additional and supplementary exercises ensure learners have a good understanding of concepts.

Mission

To offer the best possible education at affordable rates with the emphasis on ensuring that every child does well at school and leaves our institution with the knowledge, skills and qualifications that will give them the best chance of success in adult life. We believe that it is through quality education that future generations may build and grow a strong economy and country.

History

Education in South Africa is in crisis. Children are leaving school with poor reading skills, unable to meet the standards required in tertiary education. Our remedial centre has successfully filled the gaps in childrens’ knowledge since 2008 on a local scale. We ventured forth into an NGO to reach more children. 8000 children in Limpopo were uplifted through the generosity of the USAID partnership. Thereafter, Murray House School was born.

About the owners

Pat and Debbie Murray are a mother and daughter team, sharing a passion to see learners develop and grow. Pat has run her own private schools, uplifted 8000 learners in Limpopo before retiring. Debbie has taught learners from Pre-School to matric in English for over 15 years. They have been running an extra lesson center since 2008, English Today. Murray House school is an extension of their vision to see children enjoy learning and achieving.

We offer a warm friendly environment where children can develop confidence in all aspects of education. Children work in very small groups with a teacher, to fully understand concepts and rebuild foundations so as to excel.
